Final Summit, John Fairbairn

Final Summit is the second of John Fairbairn's series on the ten-game matches of Go Seigen, in the same large, eight and a half by eleven inch format as Kamakura, the first book. This time it's the last such match Go was to play, this one with Takagawa Kaku during Takagawa's ten-year-long reign as Honinbo. As with Kamakura, the book includes substantial biographical material about the players and background on the games as well as thorough analyses of each game. As a bonus, Fairbairn also includes brief analyses of all the games from the seven three-game matches between these two players.
